My AMAZING food day!

First off, I need to explain something: I have 40 pts per day. I need to eat them all.

So I have literally gourged myself today and I'm finally to the end of my points! WOW! Fajitas are definitely a power food:D
Here is what I ate today:
Breakfast: coffee and 5 egg whites(boiled) 4points
Lunch: Fajitas (HUGE plate) 11 points
Snack: hot fudge sundae 10 points
Dinner: tuna sandwich on whole wheat reduced cal bread (5 points)
After dinner: Squash raviloi (pretty much magical) 7 points
----> this was a huge amount of food. I was so full from the fajitas that I didn't even want dinner or the sundae but I still had 25 points and I have to eat them all. Actually I still have 3 but I'm rounding up. I'm super stuffed.

So today has been a huge success and I have proved that you do not have to be hungry to be on a diet! mmmmmmm
AND I still have my 49 allowance points for the rest of the week! I'm saving them for applebees with the girls Thursday night!

4 pointsplus chicken fajita pitas! mmmmmm

chicken fajita pitas (4 points plus value per fajita)
grill onion, tomato, bell peppers, and green beans in 2 tsp olive oil (as much veggies as you want!)
Add chicken (watch your portions!)
put it in a whole wheat pita and sprinkle fat free cheese on top and enjoy!

end of week 2

Last week was tough. I am an emotional eater, and it was a hard week for me. I stuck to my points, but went out to eat twice. The first time killed me: Grilled Cheese with french fries and a salad and hot fudge sundae. Yup, that meal was around 35 points (I get 40 per day) so I used most of my weekly allowance points for that day. Since that happened early in the week, I didn't have as many allowance points to last, so I had to mainly stick to my daily points target. Yesterday was the last day of week 2. Dad brought home pizza- yay... It crawled down my throat against my will.. all 3 peices... that's my story. So yesterday I was over-target.
I exercised a lot this week. I did wii zumba and walked. Now whenever I walk, my side hurts really bad. Maybe I pulled a muscle during zumba?
I lost 1.6lbs this week.
I've lost 7.4lbs so far.
Still going strong!

zumba (wii) review

One week in and down 5.8lbs!

So I weighed in, and I lost 5.8lbs! I feel awesome! I'm totally motivated to stick with the program. I got Wii Zumba so now I am doing that for exercise now too. I can already fit better into my work pants! So exciting!

Day Five and still going strong!

So it is now actually January 11, and I am on day 5 of weight watchers. For those of you who don't know what ww is, its a system where you go to meetings (like a support group, I sometimes call it overeaters annonymous) and they teach you good habits so you can lose wieght and keep it off. They weigh you in when you go, and you lose weight and get prizes. The system is pretty easy to follow, you get a certain number of points a day and you use this spiffy point calculator to figure out how many points are in the food you eat, and you stay under your point target. It's pretty simple, and I like it because the meetings keep me accountable and the points system gives me a strucured plan to follow while still letting me eat whatever I want as long as I keep it in my points.

My first goal is to lose 10 pounds, and when I do, I'll get a spiffy ribbon to hang on my wall (or maybe my fridge?)

Like I said, today is day 5. I weighed myself this morning, and I was 254.6. Its not the official WW scale, but its lower! So, its WORKING!!!

I have been pretty good about staying under my points, and I've even been exercising a few days a week by walking around the park. My friend is going to join ww and we will do it together for added support.

So I guess the update is: so far I like weight watchers, I'm making better eating decisions, and I'm more active and LOSING WEIGHT.

My daughter will have health insurance soon!!!

Today is the first day of the rest of my life

So I need to get my 10 month old daughter Emily some health insurance. I call a few insurance companies, big names... They all told me the same thing.
1. Because she is so young, she needs to be added to my policy (so I need to get a policy and add her to mine)
2. I am too fat to insure
Okay, I am about to do something not many girls my weight would. ... are you ready???

I weigh 256.8 pounds. Yeah, I said it. 256.8. But I don't know where the weight is! For the people who have seen me, I do NOT look like a person that weighs that much. Maybe I hide my weight well. Maybe my clothes fit me normal, who knows. Maybe I'm just dense? But I don't have a massive gut, and I'm mostly proportionate. Before I had my daughter, I looked like a larger version of a skinny girl. Now, I have the lovely post-prego jiggle tummy, but it's going away.
Anyways, I decided to take action. TODAY IT ENDS. TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE. I never thought my weight would affect my daughter. I am even comfortable in my body, but it ends HERE.
I drove my "large and lovely" booty to weight watchers... and I joined.
