LETS TRY THIS AGAIN...

Okay, so its been a while... and I have had another kid... and I'm back sort of on sort of off the bandwagon. My son is 4 months old, and its very important to me that he is breastfed exclusively. We have just introduced a fruit mush meal per day, so now I am sort of easing into dieting again. If I see my supply drop, the diet dies until I'm done breastfeeding.

So here is the scoop:
A few of my friends have these cups/jars that they filled with rocks. One jar is empty, and the other one has the amount of stones for the amount of lbs they wish to lose. This is a creative and amazing idea and I love it.

I ran out of rocks after 92, but thats a pretty big goal anyway. So far I am down 3! Its small, but its a start. I suppose I could be down 20-something but I think its cheating to count the baby weight.

8 wks in---- -17lbs!

Well, I have been doing weight watchers for 8 weeks now (I started on January 7th) and I have thus far lost 17 pounds! Its finally starting to show, which is pretty awesome. My dad and coworkers saw it before I did, and actually this morning I was still swearing I couldn't see the change... then I watched some of my older utube videos... yes, there is a definite change. I am so excited, and so motivated. My friends are all very supportive, as is my father (although he has a BAD habit of bringing home papa johns). My weight watchers leader told me that most people give up after about 4 weeks, so I'm exctied that I'm past the first hurdle of sticking to it. She also told me that statistically, if you stay for 16 weeks, you have developed good habits and are far more likely to keep at it and succeed. Thus, at the 16 week mark, you recieve the "stay and succeed" award. It felt awesome last night at my meeting to stand up and unzip my jacket and say "yes, I have lost 17 pounds!" My next target is 8lbs away, and that will be my 10% loss of 25lbs. I know I'm still big, but I'm feeling better, and I'm more active. I walked 2 miles yesterday! That would have been impossible 2 months ago. Weight changes, and mine definitely is. I don't know if I'll ever be considered "skinny", but I know I'll be a lot closer to it. More importantly, I'm doing it right this time. Some years ago, I lost about 60lbs, and I looked fantastic. However, I did it all wrong.

week 5: down 12.5 lbs :D

Well, I'm sticking to it, and I'm feeling good. I'm down 12.5 lbs and I'm down a clothes size. All my pants are too big, which is cumbersome, but an awesome feeling. Usually my problem is that they get too tight. I have completely changed my eating habits and I'm exercising regularly. I am feeling GREAT.

My AMAZING food day!

First off, I need to explain something: I have 40 pts per day. I need to eat them all.

So I have literally gourged myself today and I'm finally to the end of my points! WOW! Fajitas are definitely a power food:D
Here is what I ate today:
Breakfast: coffee and 5 egg whites(boiled) 4points
Lunch: Fajitas (HUGE plate) 11 points
Snack: hot fudge sundae 10 points
Dinner: tuna sandwich on whole wheat reduced cal bread (5 points)
After dinner: Squash raviloi (pretty much magical) 7 points
----> this was a huge amount of food. I was so full from the fajitas that I didn't even want dinner or the sundae but I still had 25 points and I have to eat them all. Actually I still have 3 but I'm rounding up. I'm super stuffed.

So today has been a huge success and I have proved that you do not have to be hungry to be on a diet! mmmmmmm
AND I still have my 49 allowance points for the rest of the week! I'm saving them for applebees with the girls Thursday night!

4 pointsplus chicken fajita pitas! mmmmmm

chicken fajita pitas (4 points plus value per fajita)
grill onion, tomato, bell peppers, and green beans in 2 tsp olive oil (as much veggies as you want!)
Add chicken (watch your portions!)
put it in a whole wheat pita and sprinkle fat free cheese on top and enjoy!

end of week 2

Last week was tough. I am an emotional eater, and it was a hard week for me. I stuck to my points, but went out to eat twice. The first time killed me: Grilled Cheese with french fries and a salad and hot fudge sundae. Yup, that meal was around 35 points (I get 40 per day) so I used most of my weekly allowance points for that day. Since that happened early in the week, I didn't have as many allowance points to last, so I had to mainly stick to my daily points target. Yesterday was the last day of week 2. Dad brought home pizza- yay... It crawled down my throat against my will.. all 3 peices... that's my story. So yesterday I was over-target.
I exercised a lot this week. I did wii zumba and walked. Now whenever I walk, my side hurts really bad. Maybe I pulled a muscle during zumba?
I lost 1.6lbs this week.
I've lost 7.4lbs so far.
Still going strong!
